The Winners of the first ever Highland Week of International Curling. The winning rink was skipped by Bob Christie from Corstorphine and was supported by a young team of Edinburgh curlers, Iain Baxter, Jim Young and Jim Moffat.Bob is seen here being presented with The Johnnie Walker Gold Plate by David.C.Kerr Managing Director, John Walker & sons Ltd. The above photograph was actually taken of Bob and his rink in 1968 as there were no photographs in the 1967 programmee. Of the participating skips Jerry Fosberg then in the Canadian Air Force in Germany also attended many more HWIC weeks including the 40th in Inverness |
